In Coeur d'Alene this is the original glass studio where you can do it yourself. With classes, workshops, and special "open studio" days you will be able to create your own "warm glass" art without investing in all of the equipment yourself. Favorite art pieces are often made with dichroic glass. Dichroic is a sparkly, metallic looking glass that can appear to look like opals, among other effects.
Open studio workshops now Thursdays and Saturdays. (1 - 5 pm by appointment.)
New classes at Summers Glass will help you learn to make pictures in glass, create clocks, etch dichroic glass, and learn other exciting fused glass techniques! You can learn the coolest stuff about hot glass by attending our newest special classes. You'll want to learn these many exciting methods which have been added as new glass art making workshop classes. With these special classes you will learn to work with metals, etch dichroic glass, create pictures in glass, picture frames and mirrors in fused glass, and create fused glass clocks!

ORNAMENT WORKSHOP $15.00 each. Create that one-of-a-kind ornament or sun catcher. As a fused glass class student, you will cut colorful pieces of glass using mosaic cutters and arrange the design on glass blanks. We will fire and finish the melted glass for you. Your workshop includes all materials. There are many designs for you to choose from.
DICHROIC PENDANT WORKSHOP. Come play with our Dichroic glass and create unique one-of-a-kind pendants. You will create 6 small, or 3 medium, sized pendants that we will fire for you. The workshop includes all of your glass. Findings are extra. Dichroic pendant workshops can be done during open studio time. $45.00
Every month Summers Glass hosts a free fused glass art workshop in downtown Coeur d'Alene (CDA) during the "Art Walk" events held every second Friday of the month from April through December. Everyone is invited to come in and make custom fused glass art. Summers Glass also participates in Art and culture events organized by the Coeur d'Alene Arts & Culture Alliance.
